BI Consultant PERMANENT FULL TIME REMOTE, PROVINCE OF QUEBEC BILINGUAL (ENGLISH & FRENCH) REPORTS TO THE PRACTICE MANAGER The BI Consultant is responsible for developing dashboards and reports (new or improved) for both packaged reporting solutions and custom BI solutions for our customers according to the quality standards required and respecting the planned schedule. Will also be involved in reviewing business needs with clients. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS NEED ANALYSIS Collaborate in the development of possible solutions. Review business needs with client. FUNCTIONAL DOCUMENTS (PROGRAM ARCHITECTURE) Collaborate in the formulation of problems and developing alternatives using information provided by the Customer. Complete the system’s conceptual model. Complete the system’s functional model. Support the writing of the user manual. PROGRAMMING Prioritize work according to the assignments. Code in T-SQL based on the reporting requirements. Develop the reporting interface according to the company’s standards. Ensure compliance with the programming quality standards. FUNCTIONAL TESTS Test the accuracy of the reporting. IMPLEMENTATION (STARTUP) Support the Analyst during the system’s implementation at the customers. Occasionally install system components at the customers. TRAINING Occasionally train the customer on technical aspects. FOLLOW-UP AND CONTROL Perform developments to meet the expectations planned early in the project. MISCELLANEOUS Occasionally evaluate service offers and change requests related to the project. Assist the Programmers according to their specialty. Continue ongoing training on products; keep updated on new products. Occasionally prepare customer demos. Participate in the System’s functional definition. SKILLS TEAMWORK Give opinions, ask others, support the general opinion. ANALYTICAL Identify all elements of a situation, compare data, detect problems, and identify causes. TIMELINESS Recognize the importance of meeting deadlines. JOB REQUIREMENTS TRAINING College diploma in computer science, Math/Statistics, or Business with programming experience. EXPERIENCE 1 to 5 years of experience in a similar position. LINGUISTIC KNOWLEDGE Bilingual English/French. OTHER KNOWLEDGE BI tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
