Cloud Support Engineer role at Amazon Web Services, assisting global companies and developers with cloud computing technologies and troubleshooting.
As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will be at the forefront of cloud technology, assisting customers with application architectures, integration approaches, and best practices for applications, servers, and networks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Learn and use groundbreaking technologies
- Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to customers' individual needs
- Interact with leading engineers around the world
- Partner with Amazon Web Services teams to help reproduce and resolve customer issues
- Drive customer communication during critical events
- Drive projects that improve support-related processes and customers' technical support experience
- Write tutorials, how-to videos, and other technical articles for the developer community
- Work on critical, highly complex customer problems that may span multiple AWS services
As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will be part of a customer-facing technology team helping to ensure the success of Amazon Web Services as a leading technology organization.
Key qualifications include:
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Portuguese (written and spoken)
- Experience with Hadoop ecosystems, support, and troubleshooting
- Good understanding of System Administration and troubleshooting with Linux and/or Microsoft Windows Server
- Good understanding of Networking concepts
Preferred qualifications include:
- Understanding of cloud computing concepts and/or experience with any cloud platforms
- Experience scripting or developing in one or more of the following languages: UNIX Shell, Python, R, Ruby, GO, Java,.NET (C#), JavaScript
- Bachelor's degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field OR equivalent experience in a technical position
