Branch Manager - Building Products
The successful Branch Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy retail store, ensuring all key performance indicators (KPIs) are met and company procedures are adhered to.
As a seasoned leader with management experience, you will lead a team of sales representatives and work closely with the Regional Manager to establish and meet monthly turnover targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the Regional Manager and Sales Representatives to establish and meet monthly turnover targets.
- Manage all key Branch functions, including Trade, Retail, DIY, Showroom, Internal and External Sales.
- Maintain a clean, well-organized and properly merchandised store at all times.
- Provide direction and support to staff in delivering exceptional levels of customer service.
- Manage stock and purchasing, including inventory levels to ensure adequate stocks are maintained.
- Oversee yard and transport functions.
- Manage and regularly review all cost inputs, including haulage/delivery and overhead costs.
- Communicate key sales and performance targets within the Branch.
- Ensure guidelines and procedures are implemented and adhered to regarding management of staff, credit control and administration.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety Legislation.
- Manage staff, including attendance, time keeping and disciplinary procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous management experience in a busy Builder Providers or similar business.
- Strong understanding of the construction industry.
- Competence with standard software packages, including MS Word, Excel and basic accounting.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with strong commercial acumen.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve Branch targets and objectives.
