Job Description

Job Summary: The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical infrastructure and operational efficiency of plant buildings, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and functional environment for occupants. The role involves routine building and equipment maintenance, emergency repairs, minor construction tasks, and system checks.

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of building integrity and carry out minor repairs as required.
  • Respond to maintenance issues, such as leaks, damaged infrastructure, etc. in a timely and effective manner.
  • Perform minor construction tasks, such as painting, carpentry, and patching.
  • Perform daily/weekly checks on building systems, HVAC, water treatment, vacuum, compressed air, cooling towers and fire protection systems.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized support services.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years relevant work experience, Trade qualification in a similar role/regulated environment.
  • General building repair, plumbing and carpentry skill-set.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles of plant equipment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational ability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using Microsoft Windows and MS Office suite of products. Familiarity with Trend or any other Building Management System is an advantage.
