Job Specification: Business Analyst for Finance Process Design and Integration of Reconciliation Tool Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support our finance function, primarily in the process design and integration of ticketing solutions with financial solutions such as reconciliation tool, BI, and ERP. The primary objective of this role is to ensure revenue assurance for the organisation by effectively analyzing payment channels and financial processes, identifying areas of improvement, and implementing a robust reconciliation tool. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enhancing financial controls, optimizing revenue management, and facilitating accurate financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive analysis of financial flows within the organisation's payment channels, particularly related to ticketing data and revenue collection. Collaborate with finance and technology teams to define requirements, and assist in the design and build phase of an effective reconciliation tool that integrates with third party service provider's data systems. Work closely with stakeholders to identify and document business needs, process workflows, and data integration requirements. Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the financial solutions' functionality, including data extraction, transformation, and loading processes. Conduct gap analysis to identify potential discrepancies or inefficiencies in the existing financial processes and propose improvements and automation opportunities. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of the reconciliation tool with existing systems and provide support during the implementation phase. Perform thorough testing of the reconciliation tool's functionality, data accuracy, and system performance. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user guides, process manuals, and standard operating procedures. Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring their understanding and effective utilization of the financial solutions. Monitor and analyze data outputs from the organisation's systems to identify anomalies, discrepancies, and revenue leakage, and take appropriate corrective actions. Continuously assess and evaluate the effectiveness of the organisation's reconciliation tool and financial processes, implementing enhancements and addressing any emerging challenges. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to revenue assurance and financial processes in the transit sector. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience as a Business Analyst, specifically in supporting finance functions and process design. Strong understanding of financial processes, revenue management, and reconciliation practices within high volume transaction environments and e-commerce. Solid knowledge of data integration methodologies and tools, with experience in integrating diverse datasets. Familiarity with reconciliation tools, revenue assurance processes, and financial reporting. Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a focus on driving process improvements and efficiency. Experience in testing, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing. Knowledge of SQL, database concepts, and data manipulation languages is preferred. Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools is a plus.
