Job Description

**Job Summary:** Project Manager role in Group Resilience and Continuity team, responsible for managing projects to improve Business Continuity and Operational Resilience, with a focus on risk management, project documentation, and stakeholder engagement.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain project management experience and exposure to Business Continuity and Operational Resilience while working with senior managers across the Bank. As a part of the Bank of Ireland's Group Resilience and Continuity (GR&C) team, the Business Engagement Project Manager will have responsibility for a number of key deliverables which strive to improve the bank's overall Business Continuity and Operational Resilience.

The role involves:

  • Managing projects such as regulatory requests, technical developments, and resilience and continuity improvements.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, detailed plans to monitor and track the progress of each project.
  • Identifying and managing risks associated with each project.
  • Ensuring all projects are delivered on time within the stipulated scope.
  • Ensuring a robust risk management structure, environment, and process is delivered across the business unit that meets the group expectations around risk profile and 2nd/3rd line reviews.
  • Supporting the creation and implementation of Business Impact Assessments (BIAs) and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) for Important Business Services.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements by way of procedures, processes, and training guides.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Solid ability to effectively manage multiple simultaneous tasks and/or initiatives.
  • Ability to provide intellectual rigour to risk assessment, development of business solutions, and decision making.
  • Excellent organisation skills to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Strong reporting and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical acumen with the ability to lead a very broad and diverse agenda.
  • Ability to understand, identify, and pragmatically influence the proportionate, risk-based approach to mitigation and monitoring.

The role is based in Group Resilience and Continuity (GR&C) who form part of the Payments and BCM business function within the Group Technology and Customer Solutions (GTCS) division. The team is a first line Centre of Excellence who with the support of the wider business in continually improving the Business Continuity and Operational Resilience capability of the Bank of Ireland Group.

This is a hybrid role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration, exact frequency to be agreed with manager.
