Job Description:

Penneys is seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Associate to join our team in Limerick. In this role, you will play a crucial part in expanding our business footprint and driving strategic initiatives that contribute to our growth. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Research & Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential business opportunities. Analyze customer insights and behavior to inform business decisions.
  2. Lead Generation: Actively seek out new sales leads through networking, cold calling, and social media. Maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients by utilizing innovative outreach strategies.
  3. Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Act as the primary point of contact for existing and prospective clients, addressing their inquiries and providing timely, effective solutions.
  4. Tenders and Proposals: Assist in the preparation of proposals, tenders, and presentation documents that effectively communicate Penneys' unique value proposition. Tailor presentations to meet the specific needs of various stakeholders.
  5. Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and sales teams to develop promotional strategies and materials that align with business development objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless approach to customer service.
  6. Performance Tracking: Monitor and evaluate the success of business development initiatives through regular reporting and analysis. Use data-driven insights to adjust strategies and improve future efforts.
  7. Networking: Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to represent Penneys and foster connections within the industry. Share feedback and insights gained from these events with the team.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, market changes, and competitors to enhance business development efforts. Participate in continuous learning to improve skills and contribute to innovative ideas.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably within the retail or fashion sector.
  3. Skills:
    • Strong presentation skills with the ability to deliver engaging and informative pitches.
    • Excellent critical thinking abilities to evaluate potential opportunities and approach challenges strategically.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
