Business Development Director for Financial Services Sector
Lead large sales opportunities in the Financial Services sector in Ireland, managing client engagements and developing strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead large sales opportunities (7/8 figure sales opportunities) developed through Commercial team and/or strategic technology partnerships
- Manage smaller sales opportunities/bids independently or with involvement from other members of the commercial team
- Execute contracts awarded to Version 1, including client engagement, commercials, contracting, delivery practice engagement, and project mobilisation
- Manage acquired customer accounts and partner engagements with Microsoft and AWS
- Support and deliver on the production of bids and tender responses
- Work across project managers, bid management, advisory services, and delivery consultants to ensure high-quality bids
- Lead the pre-qualification process to ensure all customer sales opportunities and bids are fully qualified and identified as winnable
- Liaise with Delivery teams to identify and secure resources for sales opportunities and bid preparation
- Respond to detailed Customer Requirements documents
- Prepare and deliver Prospect and Client presentations of Version 1 propositions to customers
- Prepare and deliver presentations for use at various Version 1 customer events
- Liaise with Partner Account Managers and Commercial Operations to ensure successful delivery of presentations, tender responses, and contracts
- Support all levels of the Bid process lifecycle
Requirements:- Experience working as a successful business development director delivering IT Services and technology solutions into the Financial Services sector in Ireland
- Knowledge of the Financial Services Sector buying cycles and procurement processes, including Frameworks, Channel Partners (AWS/Microsoft), and complex bidding environments
- Influencing skills to get people to deliver high-quality results on time
- Strong written skills in Word, Powerpoint, and Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage at all levels across an organisation internally and externally
- Good commercial awareness and sound understanding of project and business dynamics
