Business Development Executive role for a medical device engineering company seeking a sales professional to drive new business growth in Ireland and North America.
Our client is a leading medical device engineering company offering a range of development and manufacturing services. The successful candidate will be responsible for winning new business, researching and identifying target customers, and developing sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Win new business for manufacturing plants in Ireland and North America
- Research and identify target customers
- Prospect, generate leads, and create nurture campaigns
- Qualify inbound enquiries and develop sales opportunities
- Run end-to-end sales processes from initial contact to close of deal
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders for deliverability, capacity, and costings
- Attend meetings, build relationships with prospects, and maintain data hygiene
- Stay up-to-date with company products and industry trends
- Prepare quotations and follow up with customers
- Review Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
- Deliver presentations and provide facility tours
- Meet sales targets and achieve KPIs
- Travel to the US or Europe for approximately 2 days per month
Requirements:
- Degree in Business, Engineering, or similar discipline
- Minimum 5 years sales experience in a manufacturing/production company
- Background in outbound sales hunting, not account management
- Driven, determined, enthusiastic, and eager to succeed
- Excellent communication, research, and networking skills
- Strong customer service, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational, research, and multitasking abilities
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- MS Office experience essential
- High level of teamwork and engagement, with ability to work independently
- Excellent attention to detail and numerical ability
- Good cultural fit and team player
- Ability to travel internationally
