Freight Forwarding Business Development Manager sought to drive growth and expand customer relationships in Cork.

Our client, a leading freight forwarding company, is looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager to help drive the company's continuous growth. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and closing deals with new and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and drive growth opportunities with a primary focus on Air/Sea services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Progress potential customers into sales and develop sales strategies to drive revenue.
  • Set and achieve weekly visit targets in agreement with the Sales Manager.
  • Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure seamless coordination between sales and service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions using the company's CRM system.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and adhere to the company's values.
  • Conduct market research and analyze competitors' products, pricing, and market success to identify new opportunities.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of proven experience in sales within the freight forwarding industry.
  • Strong knowledge of global freight forwarding (Air/Sea).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Proven track record in achieving sales targets.
  • Client account management and building strong customer relationships.
  • A full valid driver's license is required.
