Business Development Manager - Materials Manufacturing
Our client, a leading Materials Manufacturer, seeks a Business Development Manager to build an existing territory of customer accounts in the Dublin-Belfast corridor area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a robust sales plan for the division in conjunction with the Commercial Director.
- Develop Key Account Plans for top accounts and implement Joint Business Plans to be reviewed regularly.
- Work the territory in a targeted approach with regular visits to customers, efficient journey planning, presentation planning, and reporting.
- Proactively seek out new business opportunities, including possible growth areas, emerging markets, and industry trends.
- Manage the influx of orders from regular and new customers ensuring compliance with the query to quote process.
- Monitor divisional sales and category performance and report for weekly, monthly, and quarterly events.
- Liaise with the innovation department to communicate effectively customer requirements and see through end-end delivery of projects.
- Work closely with Customer Services to ensure customer queries and complaints are closed out in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Strong track record exceeding targets in a business development/account management capacity, in an industrial B2B environment, with 5+ years sales experience.
- Experience of working with a CRM system and sales pipeline management.
- Growth mindset with the ability to work within a fast-paced role involving cross-functional teams.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial attitude and exceptional motivation that can communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Excellent organisational and networking skills.
- Commercially savvy with the ability to challenge the business and have the confidence to prepare and present effective changes.
- IT literate, excellent MS Office, with design software knowledge being a plus.
- Preferred experience of working within the packaging or materials industry.
