**Business Excellence and Continuous Improvement Specialist** A highly motivated individual is required to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across the business, leveraging Lean methodology and principles to achieve sustainable high performance. **Company Overview** Tirln is a world-class food and nutrition co-operative with a diverse portfolio of quality ingredients and leading consumer and agri brands. With a strong market presence in over 80 countries, Tirln has a talented team of over 2,100 people managing its network of 11 production facilities and annual revenues of over €3 billion. **Key Responsibilities** • Provide support in operational excellence and continuously improve the LEAN maturity of the site • Contribute to the development of strategy focused on embedding a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement across the business • Ensure the site daily management system (3M), KPI reviews, and continuous improvement forums are embedded at all levels of the site • Lead the RCA process and ensure its effectiveness in eliminating waste in site processes • Coach and mentor employees at all levels in the use of LEAN systems & tools • Facilitate the development, implementation, and governance of business process improvement projects • Build and maintain effective working relationships across the business to ensure alignment with business process improvement projects • Proactively work with people in all areas of the business to seek out opportunities for the elimination of waste and non-value-added activity • Recognise the importance of budget targets and strive to reduce costs and improve efficiencies through a detailed knowledge of the process and a continuous goal of eliminating waste • Communicate and engage with people at all levels within the business to promote awareness and engagement • Ensure the Business Excellence approach remains fully integrated into the business strategy • Facilitate structured problem-solving and train site leadership teams to embed root cause analysis in all areas **Requirements** • Third-level qualification or relevant experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Process Improvement, or product development, project management • In-depth understanding of lean systems with hands-on experience utilizing lean tools in an effective manner • Knowledge of the Shingo model of operational excellence an advantage • Experience in Change Management and/or Project Management an advantage • Lean six sigma green belt or black belt certified a distinct advantage • Proven track record of delivery of projects within tight time frames • Experience working with cross-functional teams • Experience in dealing with cultural change at all levels • Previous experience of training/facilitating groups is a distinct advantage • Self-confident with the ability to promote a new way of thinking • Highly motivated and self-driven • Excellent influencing skills
