Business Excellence (Lean) Specialist

A 12-month fixed-term opportunity to join a world-class food and nutrition co-operative, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across a global business.

Role Profile

Reporting to the Business Excellence Manager, this role will work closely with a highly motivated and experienced Business Excellence team to bring continuous improvement to life each day.

  • Providing support in the area of operational excellence and continuously improving the LEAN maturity of the site
  • Contributing to the development of strategy focused on embedding a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement across the Tirln business
  • Ensuring that the site daily management system (3M), KPI reviews, and continuous improvement forums are embedded at all levels of the site

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the RCA process and ensuring its effectiveness in eliminating waste in the site processes
  • Cooking and mentoring employees at all levels in the use of LEAN systems & tools
  • Facilitating the development, implementation, & governance of business process improvement projects

Requirements

  • Third-level qualification or relevant experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Process Improvement, or Product Development
  • In-depth understanding of lean systems with hands-on experience utilizing lean tools in an effective manner
  • Knowledge of the Shingo model of operational excellence an advantage
