Job Description

Business Analyst Job Description: Our client is seeking a Business Analyst with skills in Business Analysis and Process Design; Business Process Improvement; Lean 6 Sigma; Service Design; Organisation Design and Project Management; to complement the work of their growing practice. You will need an aptitude for problem solving, analytics, design thinking and process improvement. This will include the ability to identify areas for process improvement across existing ways of working in client organisations and apply the most effective system, process or people changes to deliver the best outcomes for end clients. Excellent communication skills are essential for this role. You will need to be able to engage with senior stakeholders in client organisations to support the delivery of better business outcomes, engage with stakeholders "on the floor" and actively listen to concerns of end-user staff and customers or service users. You will be expected to record the outputs of workshops and translate these into process maps to be agreed with management and staff ("As Is"). You will need to analyse these outputs, based on an understanding of the core business and recommend new and effective streamlined processes that will deliver effective results whilst fulfilling all legal and regulatory requirements ("To Be"), taking into account the optimal organisation design for the client. You will be expected to contribute to the entire project lifecycle and be innovative (making use of the latest technology) to support end clients in commencing, communicating and delivering on the changes recommended. You will support the design, build, and testing of the changes and support training activities where required to do so. Key Responsibilities will include: Collaboration with team members and clients to comprehend issues and identify innovative solutions; Development of business requirements and recommendations for new initiatives; Determination of recommendations for effective IT solutions, to ensure optimal delivery of future business requirements; Ensuring project outputs align with the relevant requirements; Matching the future organisation design to "To Be" processes; Supporting the change readiness and change management aspects of projects by developing implementation plans, supporting the preparation of training materials and facilitating post implementation reviews and lessons learned. Qualifications and skills required for this role include: 3+ years' experience within a consulting firm or in a relevant project management environment Familiarity with, or an ability to quickly develop an understanding of the public service environment in Ireland would be an advantage; Strong academic record, including a relevant third level degree (e.g. Business Studies, Public Administration or Information Technology); Experience in applying best practice Business and Process Analysis techniques ("as-is" and "to-be" process workflows) and in service and organisational design methodologies and approaches; Excellent analytical skills, presentation, workshop and online facilitation skills, in person and using remote technologies; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Excellent interpersonal skills and experience in dealing with a wide range of clients and stakeholders; Process Mapping and requirements-gathering skills, using the latest graphic technologies, to document end-to-end "as is" and "to be" processes and organisational structures; Project management and change programme delivery experience; Lean six sigma qualification is an advantage; PMP/Prince2 qualification is an advantage; Agile experience/certification preferred.
