Job Title:Business Systems Lead Reporting to:IT Director Location:RDS Contract type:Permanent About the role The role will involve managing support, availability and performance of critical core business applications in line with service levels. The candidate will come from a strong Application Support Analyst background and are looking to move to the next level with good skills and ability to deliver IT services aligned with company goals. Key Responsibilities You will take ownership for co-ordination and hands on delivery of the business-as-usual IT Applications You will be first Point of Contact for Day to Day IT Business Application Issues You will maintain detailed logs of Issues, including incident & problem management based on priorities & associated service levels You will maintain & develop controls to ensure Applications are performing correctly You will conduct User Access audits as required. You will manage Production, Test & Development systems Work collaboratively with colleagues on the IT Infrastructure & Operations Teams Prepare/ review technical documents & support documentation Co-ordinate IT system change approvals and releases to Production Provide Support and training for existing business software systems. Maintain patch levels in line with vendor guidance. Ensure vendors are meeting or exceeding agreed SLA targets. Develop Business Intelligence tools and dashboards. Monitor systems to ensure data integrity for BI and Financial reporting and performing or assisting with remedial actions Maintain data standards, with responsibility for adherence to GDPR and the Data Protection Acts for all RDS data. Ensure back-up and recovery plans are tested and implemented on a monthly basis. Work alongside product owners, architects & developers to design, test, validate, implement new capabilities, systems, BI capabilities, and sustain existing systems capabilities. Participate in any other RDS projects, events, activities or duties as directed by the Director or IT, Head of IT Infrastructure and Operations, Venue Director and/or Chief Executive. Person Specification Personal Attributes: Must be highly conscientious and organised with excellent attention to detail. Must be process orientated and have a structured approach to work. Possess a flexible approach to work and enjoys working with others, as well as on his/her own. Smart, professional manner and presentation. Please note that the dress code in the RDS is business attire. Work Experience: At least 3 years experience supporting business applications including the development of management information reports from the underlying database. Direct end user support for business users. Project life cycle from analysis through to deployment. Supporting business applications driven process change. Usage of the ITIL process model. Financial experience would be very advantageous. Skills: Knowledge of business applications specifically ERP systems (note while direct knowledge of the Ungerboeck venue management software would be desirable it is not essential). Strong knowledge of SQL, Microsoft Excel Proven excellent database skills to include accurate maintenance of data quality Knowledge of business intelligence and report writing tools (note the RDS currently utilises Crystal Reports as its main reporting tool). Power BI experience desirable Must possess analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with end users and management Excellent Microsoft Office Application Skills Qualifications: A 3rd level qualification in a relevant subject such as IT, Computer Science or Data Analytics.
