Job Description: We seek a Business Unit Health & Safety Manager to support projects in our Civils business in Ireland. You will advise and ensure onsite health & safety standards align with internal expectations and standards. You will lead a team of 4-6 safety advisors and share best practices across sites.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and rolling out company health & safety strategy.
- Ensure workplaces are audited and risk reviewed in accordance with policy.
- Raise concerns to Project Managers and directors when needed.
- Monitor health and safety performance and prepare reports.
- Assist tender and pre-qualification teams with health & safety submissions and solutions.
- Identify learning and development requirements and coach staff in health & safety expectations.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in a senior health and safety position within construction.
- Third-level qualification in health and safety.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills.
- Experience working with lifting operations, PSDP/PSCS, and OHS/Env reporting systems.
- Experience with IT and digital technology.
- Chartered membership of IOSH is an advantage.
