Job Title: Production Supervisor / BSU Leader/ cell leader / process lead Salary: €Excellent Benefits: To be discussed at interview Job Type: Permanent Location: Shannon, Co. Clare Job Start date: ASAP Shift Pattern: Days We’re supporting our client, a Metal components manufacturer based in Co.Clare, who are looking for a Business unit leader to join their growing team. The successful Business unit leader will have experience of driving continuous improvement, lean manufacturing methods and providing leadership. Responsibilities for Business unit leader: * Lead a multifunctional team in planning and executing production schedules. * Manage human and material resources to meet production targets. * Coordinate with engineering and purchasing on engineering change notices. * Ensure traceability of parts throughout the production process. * Maintain adherence to standard operating procedures and safety protocols. * Develop and motivate staff, driving continuous improvement and lean manufacturing methods. * Provide leadership and line management to ensure efficient operations and achieve business targets. * Efficiently deploy resources to meet delivery requirements while ensuring quality and safety standards. * Maintain adherence to manufacturing procedures and quality requirements. * Ensure compliance with 5S practices and equipment maintenance. * Monitor production throughput and manage work order closures. * Provide training and support for team members, promoting high standards and continuous improvement. * Interface with other departments to maintain effective communication and resolve issues. About You: * Degree in relevant field (Engineering, Science, Manufacturing, Production). * Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar management role. * Knowledge of ISO/AS9100 standards and experience with ERP/MRP systems. * Familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques and strong project management skills. * Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management abilities. * Understanding of production costs and quality standards. * Experience in leading improvement initiatives and developing team members. * Proficiency in PC skills and relevant software packages. * Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and quality standards. * Results-oriented with the ability to work well under pressure. * Analytical and thorough approach to problem-solving. * Consistent initiative in resolving complex issues.
