We are seeking a skilled Butcher to join our team in County Dublin. Our clients are multi-award winners, offering a bespoke shopping experience to customers.
Responsibilities:
- Proficient in cutting, trimming, and preparing various cuts of meat, including beef, pork, poultry, and seafood, according to customer preferences and specifications.
- Knowledgeable about different types of meats, cuts, and their ideal cooking methods, as well as proper handling and storage techniques to maintain freshness and quality.
- Skilled in operating and maintaining butcher equipment such as meat slicers, grinders, and saws, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with meat selection, offering cooking recommendations, and fulfilling special orders.
Requirements:
- Two years of experience in a similar setting.
- Strong attention to detail in portioning, packaging, and labeling meat products accurately, adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with other store personnel, including managers and sales associates, to manage inventory, monitor product availability, and meet customer demands.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and holidays.
Salary is open to negotiation and dependent on experience.
This is a full-time position, based in-store in County Dublin.
