Buyer - FMCG Are you a FMCG buyer looking for your next move? My client, a highly popular Irish owned family business is looking for a Buyer - FMCG to join their team. As a Buyer, you will be responsible for delivering the sales and margins for your given product range. Package Competitive salary Career progression Staff discount Education opportunities Complimentary On site parking Responsibilities of this Buyer - FMCG role include: Build positive, long-term relationships with current suppliers, research new suppliers, and make recommendations. Predict future purchasing requirements and find new products and categories based on customer insights. Write, place, and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery. Examine sales figures, market trends, and customer behaviour to determine product needs. Determining the need for and implementing product promotions, price changes, mark downs, clear outs, etc Deal with any purchase order/invoice issues, following them through to resolution Liaise with Merchandisers on the sourcing of product that meets promotional and seasonal activity, planning sales, stocks, margins, and space densities to continuously monitor performance of brands and drive trade. Coach junior members of the team and share good practice across the wider team. Own the development of category strategies including research and analysis (spend analysis, make vs. buy, cost benchmarking, etc.) to identify category saving opportunities and develop strategic category plans.
