Purchasing Role
The Buyer is a critical part of the PCI Procurement team. Directly responsible for purchasing components and raw materials for commercial packing business. Procures component parts using MRP to fulfill customer requirements according to standard procurement and inventory management processes.
- Purchase component parts to fulfill customer Binding Forecasts and/or P.O.s for Packaged Product.
- Review and Analyze inventory on hand to ensure additional components are placed on order to fulfill customer orders.
- Handle purchasing contracts of larger/significant value or importance.
- Obtain approval for P.O.s in accordance with approval authorization levels prior to placement with supplier.
Requires Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or 2-5 years related experience in purchasing, supply chain, or related field. Intermediate computer skills and full professional proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing. Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions.
