Job Description

Job Summary: Supply Chain Professional responsible for managing purchasing, inventory, and logistics for a global healthcare company.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Manage MPS & MRP for raw material, intermediate, and finished goods.
  • Ensure material supply in line with plant schedules.
  • Coordinate the purchasing process and work with NPI activities.
  • Manage BOM / Item Master.
  • Coordinate materials aspect for NPI's.
  • Work with Supply chain members to meet target performance on KPI's.
  • Inventory Management and Control.
  • Liaise with transportation companies regarding deliveries.
  • Schedule deliveries within warehouse capacities.
  • Project implementation in line with specific goals.

**Supervisory/Management Responsibilities:**

  • No supervisory duties are associated with this position.

**EHS Responsibilities:**

  • Ensure Environmental Health & Safety standards are met and all EHS regulations and procedures are adhered to.
  • Demonstrate accountability and responsibility for EHS performance and compliance through active participation and support of Abbott's EHS Program.
  • Ensure to report any work-related injuries or illness to employee health and assist in the investigation.
  • Active participation and support of Abbott's EHS programs and attend EHS training as assigned.

**Education Required:**

  • Certificate/Diploma/Degree in a related discipline, or IPICS / IIPMM.
  • Appropriate qualification in either Purchasing/Production Planning.

**Knowledge & Experience:**

  • Excellent Computer skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • At least two years' experience in supply chain/production planning.
  • A high level of expertise is required in solving scheduling, logistics, expediting, and purchasing problems.

**Accountability / Scope:**

  • The position has scope for decision making within confines of agreed responsibilities.
  • Activities broadly defined by agreed impact goals.
  • Supervision is received through meetings and one-on-one meeting with the Planning & Purchasing Manager.
  • Periodic goal reviews, annual performance, and career development reviews will also occur.
