We are seeking a highly experienced CAD Designer with proven expertise in SolidWorks to join our dynamic design team. This role is essential to supporting our well-known Medical Device client, where the designer will contribute to developing and maintaining critical engineering drawings. Responsibilities Main responsibilities will include: Collaborate with engineers and other team members to produce precise 2D/3D CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks. Create, update, and maintain all engineering drawing files in line with project specifications. Ensure designs meet relevant medical device industry standards and regulations. Perform design modifications and optimizations to improve product performance. Manage and organize drawing documentation for ongoing and new projects. Support prototype builds and provide feedback to the engineering and manufacturing teams. Assists Subject Matter Experts during regulatory inspections. Supports the Engineering Drawing File Periodic Field Verification Program. Supports drawing standardisation between all IOPS sites. Assists in development of department policies, procedures and specifications. Maintains a clean and safe working environment by enforcing procedures, policies and regulations. Maintains company reputation by enforcing compliance with local and government regulations. Qualifications Experience & Skills: Proven experience as a CAD Designer, ideally within the Medical Device or related regulated industry. Proficiency in SolidWorks (required). Strong understanding of engineering principles, technical drawings, and design practices. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision. Familiarity with ISO standards and FDA or other medical device regulatory requirements is a plus.
