Job Description
Support the day-to-day operations of a café, delivering excellent customer service, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service with a friendly attitude.
- Efficiently handle customer orders and complaints.
- Upsell menu items to increase sales opportunities.
- Accurately handle cash and card transactions using the POS system.
- Prepare and present food and beverages according to the café's standards.
- Ensure proper food labelling and storage of food items.
- Adhere to Health & Safety procedures, including HACCP guidelines.
- Carry out deep cleaning tasks and maintain equipment.
- Report faults or issues to supervisor/manager.
- Carry out daily opening and closing shift responsibilities.
- Responsible for internal kitchen ordering and stock rotation.
- Comply with all company procedures and policies.
- Perform other tasks reasonably requested by the Manager.
- Previous experience working in a café is an advantage.
- Barista experience is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and handle a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn new tasks.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to handle cash transactions and using a POS system.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Hold a valid permit to work in Ireland.
