Candidates should be available to work 3-5 days over a 7-day week.
Weekends and Bank Holidays are included.
The position offers attractive day time hours.

INTRODUCTION:
Johnstown Castle Estate, Museum and Gardens (JCEMG) is a beautiful national treasure which offers visitors access to a 3 in 1 attraction, including the Gothic revival Johnstown Castle with adjoining Servants Tunnel, the Irish Agricultural Museum and the famous Daniel Robertson Ornamental Gardens.
The site also features a Visitor Centre which includes a retail space and a 120 seat Café.
JCEMG is operated by the Irish Heritage Trust, an independent charity that works to build financially resilient heritage properties through a combination of strategies, including commercial activities, membership, volunteering and corporate/other partnerships.
This is necessary to ensure that heritage properties like Johnstown Castle and its surrounding gardens and lakes can be supported, conserved and developed over the longer term for the benefit of the communities living in proximity to them.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The ideal candidate will be flexible, friendly and a great team player.
The main responsibilities include taking orders, cash handling, some food preparation, preparing hot and cold beverages, clearing tables, wash-up and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness through the café.
It will require an individual with the enthusiasm and commitment to deliver excellent customer service in a beautiful and busy environment.
Candidate Criteria/ Key Competencies:
Flexible, customer focused approach with understanding of good customer service standards Ideally Barista trained but not essential as training will be provided HACCP Previous experience preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent time keeping Able to work as part of a team or individually You should be reliable, trustworthy and a good timekeeper Skills: Customer Service Barista Catering Communication skills
