Go Gos Cafe & Deli is seeking a passionate and creative Cafe Chef to join our vibrant team.


The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, creating menu items, and ensuring the smooth operation of our busy cafe and deli.


This role is ideal for someone with 2-3 years of experience in a similar chef position who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is enthusiastic about delivering exceptional food experiences.


Key Responsibilities:

Menu Development:

Collaborate with the team to create, develop, and execute a diverse and appealing menu, including daily specials that reflect the cafe's style and customer preferences.


Food Preparation:

Take charge of preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes with attention to detail, ensuring consistency and high standards across all menu items.


Quality Control:
Monitor the quality and presentation of all dishes, ensuring they meet the cafes standards.

Ensure portion control, flavor balance, and visual appeal.

Kitchen Management:
Oversee kitchen operations, including ordering supplies, managing inventory, and ensuring efficient use of resources.

Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen according to food safety and hygiene regulations.

Efficiency and Timing:

Work efficiently during busy periods to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food orders, maintaining the highest standards of customer service.


Health and Safety:

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular checks and maintaining records of cleaning schedules, food temperatures, and other necessary documentation.


Key Skills and Qualifications: 2-3 years of experience in a similar chef role, preferably within a cafe or casual dining environment.

Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.

Proven ability to create and execute menus, including specials, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene practices, and kitchen operations.

Excellent leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.

Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
