Café Manager Wanted for Dynamic Retail Environment
Dunnes Stores, Ireland's leading retailer, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Café Manager to join their team in a fast-paced retail environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer care and operational standards to maximise sales and profitability while maintaining costs.
- Lead the standard of coffee quality, customer service, and presentation in the unit
- Develop and maintain excellent communication skills with Senior Management
- Provide a fast, friendly, and efficient level of customer service
- Operate a 3 Group manual/semi-automatic coffee machine and set up/maintain the grinder
- Ensure that espresso shots and milk are prepared to a consistently high standard
- Prepare and assist with food preparation, setting up counters, and merchandising the Kiosk
- Develop an efficient cleaning schedule to ensure the regular and systematic cleaning of the coffee machine and equipment
- Monitor and deliver the HACCP programme while ensuring that food safety, food presentation, hygiene, and quality standards are adhered to
- Place product orders with agreed suppliers and be responsible for the control of waste in the unit
- Provide ongoing staff training and continuously motivate and develop the skills of the team
- Plan and implement an efficient work schedule for the Kiosk to ensure job rotation and flexibility of all staff
Requirements:
- Advanced level of English required
- Barista skills with a knowledge and understanding of coffee
- Flexible to work up to 5 days over 7
- Experience using a 3 group machine or similar
- Experienced and trained on HACCP and Food Safety
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong desire to work with coffee
