Our client, a leading medical device company based in Galway are hiring a Calibration Engineer to join their Team. This Calibration Engineering role is a position within the validation team. The site provides testing and technical services to the medical device and pharma industries. The successful candidate will report to the Validation Supervisor.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Create and maintain calibration related operating procedures, instructions and forms where required inline with applicable standards and regulationsPerform regular calibrations of measuring and test equipmentReviewing and approving calibration certificatesEnsure calibrations are completed as per calibration schedule and implement forward planning to avoid conflict with laboratory dutiesRegular update of the equipment calibration database with current information / statusManaging calibration related projects to completionSupport Quality team with investigations, procedure updates and auditsCreate and maintain equipment measurement uncertainty budgetTraining of personnel in use of calibration and related documented instructions and formsSupport laboratory equipment procurement and assist development of associated documentationEngage in lean and continuous improvements onsiteMinimum 3rd level relevant science or engineering degreeCalibration experience: minimum 3 yearsWorking in a regulated environment: minimum 5 yearsExcellent written and spoken EnglishTechnical writing experienceKnowledge of measurement uncertainty evaluation and application6 sigma and Minitab experience an advantageNote:By applying for this position, you may also be considered by Pale Blue Dot Recruitment for other or future related vacancies.Pale Blue Dot Recruitment - The Resource for the MedTech Workforce Original job Calibration Engineer posted on GrabJobs .
