Location: Lucena Clinic, Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services Initial Base: Rathgar, Dublin 6 Lucena Clinic provides a comprehensive Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service for young people with moderate to severe mental health disorders to defined catchment areas, with an under 18 population of 172,585, residing in South Dublin City and County plus North and West County Wicklow. Clinical Teams are based throughout the catchment area operating clinics in Tallaght, Rathgar, Dun Laoghaire, Bray, Wicklow town and Arklow. Candidate Clinical Nurse Specialist: CAMHS Crisis Hub Full Time (37.5hrs) Permanent Saint John of God Community Services, Community Mental Health Services Lucena Clinic are now inviting applications for the post of Clinical Nurse Specialist, CAMHS Crisis Hub. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, innovative and committed to providing a quality service that responds to the needs and priorities of our service users. Role Summary The vision for CAMHS Crisis Hubs is To provide intensive brief mental health interventions to support CAMHS Teams in delivering enhanced responses to children, young people and their families or carers, in times of acute mental health crisis. CAMHS Crisis Hubs will support Community CAMHS Teams by providing an enhanced level of brief intervention mental health support for children and young people aged up to 18 years, experiencing an acute mental health crisis, where it is determined the needs of the child or young person require a rapid response, time-bound intensive brief intervention. We are currently seeking to expand our Crisis Hub by employing a dynamic and enthusiastic Candidate CNS to work as part of a service for children and adolescents with mental health challenges. The Candidate CNS has a pivotal role in the delivery of effective, recovery orientated, high quality, team based, integrated care for those experiencing mental health crisis. The purpose of the role is also to provide assessment and support to the individual through the delivery of appropriate treatment and recovery orientated interventions to support care in the community, working towards reduction in the need for acute hospitalisation. Minimum Requirements a)Be a registered nurse/midwife on the active Register of Nurses and Midwives held by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland. AND b)Be registered in the division(s) of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland register for which the application is being made (Psychiatric) or be entitled to be so registered. OR c)In exceptional circumstances, which will be assessed on a case-by-case basis be registered in another Division of the register of Nurses and Midwives. AND d)Have a minimum of 1 years post registration full time experience or an aggregate of 1 years full time experience in the division of the register in which the application is being made. AND e)Have a minimum of 1 years experience or an aggregate of 1 years full time experience in specialist area of CAMHS. OR f)If the applicant does not possess the relevant specialist experience, they will be supported to attain one years clinical specialist experience. AND g)Have successfully completed a post registration program of study, as certified by the education provider which verifies that the applicant has achieved a Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) major academic Level 9 or higher award (equivalent to 60 ECTS or above) that is relevant to the specialist area of care (CAMHS). OR h)If the applicant does not possess the relevant QQI NFQ Level 9 qualification, the applicant will be supported to undertake the required postgraduate education, at QQI NFQ level 9 qualification (equivalent to 60 ECTS or above) relevant to the specialist area. AND i)Be required to demonstrate that they have continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the specialist area or will be supported to obtain the required CPD. AND j)Have the ability to practice safely and effectively fulfilling his/her professional responsibility within his/her scope of practice. k)Hold a full Irish driving licence. The pathway, including the educational component, must be completed within a two-year timeframe. Remuneration Salary Grade 2699 CLINICAL NURSE SPECIALIST CANDIDATE (MENTAL HEALTH) on the Consolidated HSE Pay Scale €54,437- €64,109 per annum pro rata Initial location The CAMHS Crisis Hub is based in Lucena Clinic Rathgar. However, you may be required, from time to time, to work at SJOG CSs other places of business or/and the premises of such associated s companies or organisations as SJOG CS may require.
