By ‘shifting services left’ and prioritising Primary Care and Community Services, we are advancing the goals of Sláintecare.Skills and AttributesProfessional Knowledge & ExperienceCommunication & Interpersonal SkillsCommitment to providing a quality serviceOrganisation and Management SkillsBuilding and Maintaining Relationships including Team and Leadership skillsAnalysing and Decision MakingDescriptionLocation of Post: St. Davnet’s Hospital Campus, Monaghan Community Healthcare CDLMS, Cavan Monaghan, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)Permanent, 1 WTE 37.5 hours per weekA panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for CAMHS Cavan Monaghan from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.Duration of Post: The candidate CNS is required to progress to Clinical Nurse/Clinical Midwife Specialist grade within 2 years of commencement of this pathway and formally apply for entry onto the Interim ONMSD CNS database.Post Specific RequirementsDemonstrate your requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability and clinical, professional and administrative capacity for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.Other Requirements Specific to the PostFormal written commitment to achieve the requirements of the cCNS pathway must be provided if a job offer is made.Access to appropriate transport to fulfil the requirements of the role.Eligibility CriteriaStatutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc:Be a registered nurse/midwife on the active Register of Nurses and Midwives held by An Bord Altranais and Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann or be eligible to be so registered.Be registered in the division(s) of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland Register for which the application is being made or be entitled to be so registered.Have a minimum of 1 years’ post registration full time experience in the division of the register in which the application is being made.Have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in the specialist area of Mental Health/Care.Have successfully completed a post registration programme of study, as certified by the education provider, achieving a QQI Level 9 or higher award relevant to the specialist area of care.Demonstrate continuing professional development relevant to the specialist area.Purpose of the PostThe cCNS pathway will facilitate the post holder to be supported to professionally and clinically develop the skills and knowledge required to achieve the competencies of the CNS role.
