Job Description

Card Scheme Compliance Officer role involves ensuring Elavon maintains compliance with Card Scheme regulation by maintaining documentation and records, preparing reports, and coordinating responses in relation to Card Scheme rules.

The role requires a good understanding of the payments business, the supply chain, and the role all schemes play and the resulting risks and opportunities.

Key responsibilities include managing various notifications and communications received from the card schemes, collaborating cross-functionally across business and technology groups, and ensuring Elavon complies with Card Schemes requirements for mandated reporting.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Managing various notifications and communications received from the card schemes.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally across business and technology groups to ensure timely and accurate resolution of card scheme queries/requests.
  • Managing card scheme related queries received from internal business lines.
  • Keeping up to date with Card Schemes rules and sharing knowledge and best practices on card scheme compliance within Elavon.
  • Administrative role for access to Card Scheme tools.
  • Ensuring Elavon complies with Card Schemes requirements for mandated reporting.
  • Content creation related to Card Scheme rules for external and internal communication channels highlighting the key focus areas, impacts and opportunities.

Skills / Experience required:

  • Good understanding of the payments business, the supply chain and the role all schemes play and the resulting risks and opportunities.
  • Good communication skills- written and oral.
  • Strong eye for detail.
  • Excellent time management skills essential.
  • Good collaboration skills.
