Job Description Summary: Identify and commercialise intellectual property arising from UCD research, advise on commercial issues and lead IP commercialisation through licensing and new venture creation.
The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues in Nova UCD, UCD researchers and administrative offices to identify and protect intellectual property, advise on commercial issues and lead IP commercialisation.
- Domain expertise in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline is required.
- Responsibility for the identification and commercialisation of intellectual property arising from UCD research activities.
- Advising on commercial issues in research contracts and identifying and protecting intellectual property.
- Leading the commercialisation of IP through licensing and/or new venture creation.
