Procurement professional sought to manage procurement requests, tenders, and quick quote processes, develop close working relationships with internal customers, and provide exemplary customer service.

Job Description

The role of the Buyer is to assist clients across ESB in procuring goods, works and services, achieving best value for money, while ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, internal procedures and the code of ethics.

  • Manage all procurement requests, tenders and quick quote processes including the entire tender evaluation process in conjunction with the business in compliance in line with ESB Procurement Procedures
  • Conduct tenders and quick quote processes through e Tenders, managing the entire selection process
  • Develop close working relationship with internal technical customers
  • Evaluate spend outside of Framework Agreement for inclusion in existing or for the creation of new Framework Agreements
  • SAP Contract Management & Administration
  • Client/supplier relationship management (external)
  • Processing of shopping carts in SRM
  • Providing exemplary customer service to our internal customers in the business such as resolving queries submitted to the Group Sourcing Mailbox
  • Mentoring of new buyers may be required as part of the role
  • Identifying areas for process improvement

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience in Procurement / Supply Chain
  • An appropriate third level qualification in Procurement/Supply Chain Management / other Business studies or equivalent work experience
  • Good experience and knowledge of SAP (SRM and FMIS)
  • An excellent working knowledge of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Share Point
  • Good organizational ability and communication skills
  • A high level of commitment, judgement, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and influencing skills

Salary €38,500 - €45,000 dependig on experience.
