Job description: We are currently recruiting for a part-time Catering Assistant for Scoil Chuimsitheach Chiarain, Carraroe, Galway. Weekly hours are approx 26 hours, Monday to Friday, 8.15am – 2.15pm, with a half day every Friday. This is a Maternity Leave Cover position that commences at the end of August and operates around the secondary school calendar. Our employees are off during break periods: midterms, Christmas, Easter, and summer (unpaid). This may appeal to people with school-going children. Our employees are welcomed as part of the school community. The role involves the preparation of a variety of rolls, wraps, ciabattas, pasta, and rice dishes, service of small break and lunch, and clean down. Strong time management and organisational skills are a must as operating to strict break times is essential. Previous catering experience and knowledge of HACCP are an advantage but not essential.
