Job Description

Location: Dublin Salary range: Experience: At least 3 years’ experience working in a leadership/management role in an educational/training setting. A third level qualification in a relevant discipline (Level 8 NQF or Higher). SVP employs people to support volunteers in a variety of settings including housing, community care, shops, administration, and other specialist areas. The Role: We are currently looking to recruit a Centre Manager to join our team in Ozanam House, Dublin. The post holder will have responsibility to implement our organisational aims and objective to provide a comprehensive and inclusive support service to members of our community engaged in our service. The Manager will enhance the experience current members have, as well as develop the service further into the future, bringing in new members and developing new activities. In doing so, they will oversee all aspects of our Centre. This is a great opportunity to join one of Ireland’s largest voluntary organisations and make a difference in your community. Candidate Requirements: A third level qualification in a relevant discipline is required for this role (e.g. Social Studies/Care, Community Studies, Community Education or related field) at Level 8 NQF or Higher. Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated with excellent team leading skills. Ability to oversee and support the work of volunteers. A team worker with an ability to prioritise tasks and to work well under pressure. Excellent IT skills including knowledge of record keeping and databases. Excellent communication, facilitation and relationship building skills. Delivery focused, with an expertise in people management. Excellent numerical skills and a working knowledge of budgeting management techniques. Meticulous attention to detail and a working knowledge and training in Safeguarding requirements and a Child centred approach. Appointment is subject to Garda Vetting and satisfactory references.
