**CEO - SPADE Enterprise Centre & Shared Kitchen** **Job Summary:** Seeking an experienced CEO to oversee the administrative, operational, financial, business, marketing, and customer service activities of a dynamic enterprise centre, fostering a supportive environment for growing businesses. **About SPADE Enterprise Centre:** SPADE Enterprise Centre offers a unique setting in the converted St. Paul's Church, providing flexible work spaces for start-up businesses. With over 35 years of experience, we foster a spirit of entrepreneurship by offering a collaborative working environment, business supports, and impressive facilities. **Core Job Responsibilities:** * Oversee administrative, operational, financial, business, marketing, and customer service activities * Ensure all relevant records are up to date and administrative processes work effectively and efficiently * Maintain and develop staff complement by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees * Develop personal growth opportunities and ensure adequate staff cover for absences and peaks in workload * Assist in establishing and implementing strategic goals in collaboration with the Board * Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, and analysing variances * Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards and analysing and resolving quality and customer service problems **Key Job Duties:** * Staff Management: + Recruit, select, orient, and train employees + Maintain a safe, secure environment that is fully compliant with all regulatory legislation + Develop personal growth opportunities * Strategy: + Assist in establishing and implementing strategic goals in collaboration with the Board + Gather pertinent business, financial, service, and operations information + Identify and evaluate trends and options * Finance: + Forecast requirements + Prepare an annual budget + Analyse variances + Initiate corrective actions * Quality of Service and Best Practice: + Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards + Analyse and resolve quality and customer service problems + Identify trends and recommend system improvements * Proficiency in a range of software: + Ensure the efficient running of the office + Develop and implement new administrative systems * Maintenance and Development: + Maintain the good and safe condition of the entire Enterprise Centre + Arrange for necessary repairs * Equality and Diversity: + Implement and promote equality and diversity policy + Review and update health and safety policies and ensure observance * Data Protection: + Ensure that data protection laws are being adhered to in relation to the storage of data + Review and update policies * Professional Development: + Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops + Review professional publications + Establish personal networks + Benchmark state-of-the-art practices + Participate in professional societies * Social Media: + Manage social media * Licensee/Client Relationships: + Recruitment/letting to new licensees + Promoting SPADE with key stakeholders + Maintenance and ensuring good relationships with our licensees/tenants + Identifying client needs and recommending appropriate supports for clients **Requirements:** * Excellent organisational and time-management skills * Analysis of MI and strong report writing skills * Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other commonly-used office packages * Good working knowledge and understanding of financial reports and accountancy procedures * Strong IT and system knowledge * Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure * Good teamworking skills and the confidence to lead and motivate a team * Ability to manage your workload and supervise others concurrently * Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills * Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads * A problem-solving approach to work * Project-management skills * Familiarity with legislation in the areas of employment, equality and diversity, and data protection (useful but not essential) * Knowledge/understanding of food businesses (advantageous)
