Chartered Clinical/Educational Psychologist

A Chartered Clinical/Educational Psychologist is sought to provide comprehensive psychological assessments, interventions, and therapeutic support to children and adolescents with developmental, emotional, and behavioural challenges.

About the Role

The successful candidate will conduct psychological assessments, develop and implement individualised treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated care for clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, emotional, social, and behavioural functioning of children and adolescents.
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on assessment findings, utilising evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions.
  • Collaborate closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated and holistic care for clients.
  • Offer consultation and support to parents, caregivers, and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate understanding of developmental and psychological issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant records.
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to enhance clinical practice.
  • Stay abreast of current research, trends, and best practices in clinical psychology and child development.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A doctorate in educational psychology or a doctorate in clinical psychology or a doctorate in counselling psychology and registration with the PSI as a psychologist.
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in clinical practice, preferably working with children and adolescents.
  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting psychological assessments and providing evidence-based recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuing education in the field of clinical educational psychology and child development.
