We are seeking an experienced Checkout Manager to oversee the efficient operation of the checkout area, ensuring exceptional customer service and managing staff to optimise productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the checkout department.
- Supervise and train checkout staff to ensure excellent customer service.
- Schedule staff shifts and maintain adequate coverage.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and till reconciliation.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Implement and monitor queue management strategies.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and store policies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of departmental procedures.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years experience in retail management, preferably in a checkout department.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
