Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Checkout Manager to oversee the efficient operation of the checkout area, ensuring exceptional customer service and managing staff to optimise productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations of the checkout department.
  • Supervise and train checkout staff to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Schedule staff shifts and maintain adequate coverage.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling and till reconciliation.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Implement and monitor queue management strategies.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and store policies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of departmental procedures.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years experience in retail management, preferably in a checkout department.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
