  • Train and manage kitchen personnel to ensure seamless culinary operations
  • Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food to meet customer demands
  • Select and develop recipes to ensure consistent quality and presentation
  • Establish presentation techniques and quality standards, and plan and price menus to drive sales
  • Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance, and maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment
  • Oversee special catering events and provide culinary instruction and demonstrations

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in a related position
  • 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of food principles and practices
  • Experience in managing people and problems
  • Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills
