You will collaborate with leading vascular consultants and vascular physiologists. Purpose of the Role: The Chief I Clinical Vascular Physiologist will assist the Chief II Vascular Physiologist in managing the Senior and Basic grade Vascular Physiologists. As a Chief 1 Vascular Physiologist, you will be responsible for overseeing the Vascular Laboratory alongside the Chief II, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality vascular service in line with best practices and professional standards. What You'll Need to Succeed: Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in a Vascular Department, with substantial experience in managing and conducting both non-invasive and invasive vascular investigations. Strong leadership and supervisory experience within a vascular team, managing resources, mentoring staff, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Proficient in the use of advanced diagnostic equipment, including ultrasound machines, angiography, and endovascular devices. Key Responsibilities: The Chief I Vascular Physiologist is expected to perform their duties under the guidance of the Chief II Vascular Physiologist and reports to the Chef II Vascular Physiologist, and the Consultant Vascular Surgeons. The Chief I Vascular Physiologist will supervise and conduct a wide of non-invasive diagnostic investigation, ensuring accurate reporting of non-invasive vascular testing. Lead and mentor a team of vascular physiologists, ensuring high standards of professional development and patient care. Collaborate with consultants, and hospital staff to ensure effective patient management and communication. Participate in case conferences, research meetings, and departmental process improvement projects. Maintain departmental records, ensure equipment is maintained per manufacturer specifications, and uphold infection control procedures. Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in vascular care. Eligibility Criteria: Possess a BSc in Clinical Measurement from Technological University Dublin (TUD) or equivalent, as recognized by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Physiologists (IICMP). Full membership of the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science (IICMS) or completion of the membership process (essential for commencement of employment). Five years post-qualification experience in a Vascular Department, with a proven track record in leading teams and managing complex cases. Demonstrate clinical competence, leadership ability, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a demanding clinical environment.
