Chief Finance Officer role at South Infirmary-Victoria Hospital, responsible for finance, procurement, and HIPE/Casemix functions, with a focus on strategy, financial planning, and team management.
We are seeking a qualified accountant to join our team as Chief Finance Officer at South Infirmary-Victoria Hospital. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for the overall finance, procurement, and HIPE/Casemix function within the hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies to support the hospital's objectives and statutory requirements.
- Senior Management Team: Contribute to the development and implementation of the hospital's overall strategy and policies.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Prepare and manage the hospital's financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
- Treasury Management: Manage the hospital's cash flow, investments, and funding requirements.
- Planning, Policy & Stakeholder Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, and external partners.
- Accounting & Administration: Oversee the hospital's accounting and administrative functions, including payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team of accountants and finance staff, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
- Information Technology: Ensure the effective use of financial systems and technology to support the hospital's financial operations.
- Insurance/Estate Management/Legal Affairs: Manage the hospital's insurance, estate, and legal affairs, including risk management and compliance.
- HIPE: Develop and implement HIPE/Casemix strategies to support the hospital's financial planning and reporting requirements.
- Organisational Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of the hospital's organisational development strategies.
Essential Criteria:
- ACA/ACCA Qualified Accountant: Hold a recognized accounting qualification, such as ACA or ACCA.
- Demonstrated Experience: Have demonstrated experience in managing finance functions and implementing process improvements.
- Healthcare Experience: Have previous experience working in a healthcare environment or public sector environment.
