Job Description

Morgan McKinley is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a commercial not-for-profit organisation in South Dublin in appointing a Chief Financial Officer. As the successful applicant you will play a key role in the organisations senior leadership team and will be an active member on the Board of Management and its sub-committees to develop and implement plans for the organisation. Responsibilities: Manage the finance function including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, financial reporting, annual budget preparation and multi-year forecasts Present on the financial performance vs budget to the Risk & Finance sub-committee Establish and maintain appropriate internal controls and safeguards including robust controls around donations and associated expenditure. Manage staff in the Finance & administration function, fostering a culture of professional development and growth. Develop long range forecasts and maintain long term financial plans including scenario analysis. Manage the annual audit engagement Responsible for treasury management, including monitoring bank debt, covenant compliance and cash balances. Ensure compliance with all financial accounting, grant applications, taxation and regulatory requirements. Seek to automate financial & administrative processes, leveraging new technology Maintain multi-year capital expenditure plans Maintain and manager the organisations Risk Register Report risk issues to the Risk & Finance committee of the Board. Manage the organisations insurance policies Act as Company secretary to the Council and Board Participate in the planning & strategic oversight of Capital Expenditure programme Key skills and Requirements ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with significant experience operating and advising at an executive level. Extensive experience in dealing and balancing a diverse group of stakeholders Experience in strategic planning, change management and policy development. Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and relevant accounting standards including FRS 102. Demonstrated experience in managing finance functions and implementing process improvements including automating manual processes. Driven and self-motivated with a hands-on practical approach. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with a track record of building relationships.
