Chief Operations Officer – Banking/FSThe COO will support the CEO in overseeing the management functionand ensurethe smooth operation of administrative and member facing functions within the organization, ensuring that it performs and operates to the highest standards.The Chief Operating Officer is a pivotal role in the Management Team and will contribute to and champion the strategic plan, participating in senior level discussions and in making recommendations regarding major policy decisions.The Key Responsibilities of the position are: The Chief Operations Officer will report directly to the CEO and will ensure an efficient service is provided to members while ensuring the highest standards of service is achieved in line with the business objectives. Supporting the CEO in the development and implementation of the Strategic Plan, people management and delivering the business goals in line with the Board’s policy within outlined operational targets.Leadingthe implementation of high standards of member service focusing on evolving the service model towards a member-oriented, digital environment.Participate in all relevant meetings and committees as directed by the CEO and the BoardProvide timely and adequate management reporting on operational KPIs.Lead and manage the team through an effective performance management and development process.Continuously act as a role model leader demonstrating the highest of standards of professionalism, behaviour, ethical management, integrity and honesty.Report on, initiate and assist in the creation of process improvements to ensure relevant systems are in place.Liaise with the Risk department & Compliance department to process, identify, monitor, and manage potentialoperationalriskstominimise any negative impact that they may have on the business.Liaise with the Risk department & Compliance department to create a positive compliance culture with all legal and regulatory requirements including the areas of risk, data protection, money laundering, employment law, and health and safety.·Liaise with both internal and external auditors as required.Ensuring adequate internal controls are in place and tested to safeguard the assets.Develop strategies to support a ‘Green’ Agenda and a reduction in the carbon emissions.Responsible for the security of personnel, cash operations, and overall security including key-holding, CCTV, alarms, maintenance etc.Oversee all relevant policies, procedures and systems are implemented and updated as appropriate.Service enhancement, growth in revenues, growth by acquisitions, growth in non face to face products and services.To undertake all other reasonable and lawful duties as may be directed from time to time by the Board.RequirementsThe candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Management or in a related field with relevant managerial experience within Banking or a related financial institution.A minimum of 5 years’ relevant operational managerial and leadership experience within the financial services sector and experience in dealing with regulatory authorities is essential.Strong IT and analytical skills with a high level of competence in solution-based problem resolution.Results focusedStrong leadership skillsPossess exceptional people management, communication, motivational and interpersonal skills.Proven achievement in employee and performance management and organisational development.Demonstrate ability to devise, espouse and implement a strategic vision and change managementExcellent organisation & planning, presentation skills, report writing and attention to detail.Proven track record in member service, problem solving,and handling escalations.Compliance with policies and proceduresAnalytical and problem-solving capabilityDrive and energy, desire to get results, ability totake action, to get things done, having a strong action orientationapproach.Positively promote brand, products, and services.APPLY NOW!#CplCorkFin#LI-JF4 #J-18808-Ljbffr
