My client is a dynamic, quickly expanding retail and online company that will likely see substantial growth in the upcoming years. They are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Chief Operations Officer (COO) to join their leadership team, with a strong emphasis on providing outstanding customer experiences, both in-store and online. Strategic Business Growth & ExpansionLead the company's retail and digital expansion strategies, ensuring seamless integration of new store openings, online platform growth, and long-term projects.Oversee the launch of new business locations, ensuring each project is executed within timelines and budgets.Collaborate closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to align operational goals with the company’s overall growth strategy.Identify new market opportunities and develop strategies for business diversification.2. Operational Excellence & EfficiencyCentral to implementing company-wide processes and systems that streamline operations, drive efficiency, and reduce costs.Evaluate current operational practices and introduce process improvements to enhance overall business performance.Lead initiatives to automate manual processes where applicable and introduce technology-driven solutions that improve productivity.Oversee the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency across all departments and business units.3. Financial Oversight & Budget ManagementOversee the management of company-wide budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and expenditures are controlled.Take ownership of profit and loss (P&L) management, ensuring each business unit is operating within financial objectives.Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality or business performance.Regularly review financial performance and provide detailed reporting to the board, highlighting key opportunities for growth or efficiency.4. Retail & Digital ExpansionLead the operational execution of their retail and digital expansion plans, ensuring that new store openings and online ventures are delivered on time and within budget.Oversee the end-to-end management of long-term projects, from inception through to execution, including retail location rollouts and digital platform upgrades.Develop robust digital strategies to support eCommerce growth, customer engagement, and digital marketing initiatives.Work closely with the IT and marketing teams to integrate cutting-edge technologies and digital tools that support the growth of the business.5. Leadership & Organizational StructureManage and refine the company’s organizational structure to support growth and operational efficiency.Lead, mentor, and develop department heads, ensuring they are aligned with the company’s operational goals and growth initiatives.Foster a strong, collaborative, and performance-driven culture across the organization.Evaluate and adjust the company’s structure as necessary to meet changing business needs and market demands.6. Revenue Growth & Performance ManagementDrive revenue growth through operational excellence and strategic decision-making.Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure operational alignment with revenue-generating initiatives.Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across all business units, ensuring that all teams are meeting or exceeding their targets.Regularly review and analyze operational data to identify opportunities for increased revenue, improved customer satisfaction, and enhanced business efficiency.7. Risk Management & ComplianceEnsure all operational activities comply with legal, regulatory, and industry standards.Implement risk management strategies to mitigate operational risks and ensure business continuity.Oversee compliance with health and safety regulations, GDPR, and other key regulatory requirements relevant to the business.Qualifications & Experience:Proven experience as a Chief Operations Officer (COO) or a senior operations leader in a fast-paced, growth-oriented company, preferably in retail or digital sectors.Demonstrated track record of overseeing business growth and successfully managing large-scale retail and digital expansion projects.Strong understanding of P&L management, budgeting, and financial oversight.Expertise in process and systems implementation, with a focus on improving operational efficiency and reducing costs.Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make data-driven decisions.Proven experience in managing long-term projects, with a focus on delivering results within deadlines and budgets.Exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across the business. #J-18808-Ljbffr
