Job Purpose

We are looking for a Chief Product Officer (CPO) to join our Executive Leadership team and guide the company through its evolution from a product perspective. As the successful candidate, you will focus on the strategic and long-term challenges facing the company. You will help set organisational standards and collaborate with directors and middle managers to ensure that our products and services meet these standards. Working closely with the sales team and customers to get the products right. Your role will be critical in shaping the future of the business and its global operations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage and expand our product and service offerings in both existing and new markets.
  • Develop strategy, roadmap, and design for our DaaS and SaaS product portfolios.
  • Lead, grow, coach, and develop the global product organisation.
  • Own and drive the strategic direction of the Product organisation to enable overall business success and growth.
  • Partner with other executives and directors, and work closely with the CEO, CTO, and CDO to strategise and lead the development of world-class products and customer solutions.
  • Build a strong product and service roadmap with your teams and ensure its successful execution.
  • Promote a continuous improvement ethos, challenging the status quo and driving improvements wherever possible.
  • Drive innovation across the product and solution value proposition, creating market-leading solutions.
  • Maintain excellent cross-functional relationships to ensure teams consistently deliver above and beyond company expectations.
  • Understand customers. Their problems, needs, and desires through engagement with our clients and the wider industry.
  • Act as a role model to all employees, demonstrating strategic alignment with wider teams.
  • Own the P&L, financial planning, and monetisation of products and solutions.
  • Analyse and understand market trends.

Candidate Specification

Qualifications

  • Education: Ideally educated to postgraduate level (e.g., MBA, MSc in Technology Management), or equivalent qualification or professional experience in product management from a recognised institution-academic or professional.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Personal Characteristics

  • Proven experience in a product management or development role.
  • Experience in CRM, Master Data, and commercial data integration environments is advantageous.
  • Understanding of development timescales and the ability to work with a large, complex delivery department to provide quality requirements and support delivery within realistic timelines.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and inspire cross-functional teams, ensuring ongoing opportunities for learning and development.
  • Effective in developing and managing strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience as an active member of company leadership teams, with experience managing large teams.
  • Proven track record of success in senior product roles, delivering B2B products that cover data-driven products via API, User Interface, and bulk data delivery.
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact at Senior Management and Board levels.
  • Creativity and innovation-develop new and unique ways to improve operations and create new opportunities.
