Chief Product Officer

Taxback International is a leading global VAT solutions provider, streamlining global VAT compliance, recovery, and payment for Enterprise and Medium-sized businesses worldwide.

We are seeking a Chief Product Officer to oversee every element of the product from design to launch and beyond, ensuring it delivers value to both customers and the business. The CPO will drive product innovation, market success, and customer satisfaction within the organization, combining technical expertise, business acumen, leadership skills, and effective communication to lead cross-functional teams and shape the product strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy and Vision: Define and align the product strategy with the overall company vision and business objectives, collaborating with stakeholders to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
  • Product Development and Roadmap: Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation and prioritization to execution and release, working closely with engineering to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.
  • Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscapes, informing product positioning, differentiation, and pricing strategies.
  • Product Evangelist: Be the external Tax Technologist voice of TBI's product suite, articulating its unique value proposition and benefits to customers.
  • Sales Advocate: Support sales efforts, particularly with accountancy practices and large enterprise businesses, positioning and presenting our solutions as a product and VAT evangelist.
  • User Experience and Design: Create exceptional user experiences by leading design and user interface efforts, ensuring products are intuitive and visually appealing.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to ensure effective communication, alignment, and coordination throughout product development.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing product team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Stakeholder Management: Interact with stakeholders to present product strategies, roadmaps, and performance metrics, effectively communicating products' value propositions and business impacts.
  • Performance Measurement: Establish and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track product performance, customer satisfaction, and market success.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in product leadership roles in a high-growth environment, with experience in Tax services and ideally in the International Tax Services and Compliance Industry.
  • Drive to create groundbreaking products and achieve exponential success as part of a high-performing team.
  • Strong commercial acumen, entrepreneurial spirit, and desire for achieving excellence.
  • Ability to effectively lead and motivate teams across various functional roles.
  • Past track record of recruiting and developing a high-performing product team.
  • Passionate about customers and demonstrated experience in building strong relationships with them.
  • Experience interpreting customer needs and market trends.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience leading deeply technical product plans and aligning business strategy and technology delivery.
  • Proven change agent and strong strategic thinker with analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven track record of clear communications with stakeholders and across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to attend industry events, including extensive travel for meetings with clients and partners.
