The Ireland Risk Management function is part of the independent Corporate Risk Management organisation and has been set up to work closely with the Irish legal entities to oversee, assess and advise on risk management including service delivery, board and/or risk committee representation and reporting, implementation of the risk management framework, significant change activity, material incident management and facilitate embedding a risk management culture.
Responsible for the development, and ongoing maintenance, of the Northern Trust International Fund Administration Services Ireland Limited (NTIFASIL) Risk Management Framework to assist with the identification and assessment of risks and the establishment of risk limits in accordance with the global risk organization.
Ensuring through management and leadership that appropriate local risk management policies, processes, procedures and systems are in place and operating effectively.
The role is will be a PCF-14 Chief Risk Officer - providing thought leadership, consultation, and participation in business decisions with peers and senior management.
Legal entity risk oversight including development and embedding of appropriate risk frameworks, risk appetites and related risk reporting for NTIFASIL.
Promote Northern Trust's corporate values of Service, Integrity and Expertise and act as a role model and demonstrate behaviours in a way that is aligned to the Conduct framework, enforcing the values and ethical standards of the Corporation.
An understanding of fund administration is desirable, particularly the strategic and business issues faced by the firm and its business sector and the associated risk management frameworks required.
Strong background in risk frameworks, governance, reporting and oversight, including presenting to and engaging with senior internal and external stakeholders.
Leadership and organizational skills are required to direct relevant activities for NTIFASIL.Analytical and communication skills are required to develop/review framework elements and procedures and to work with line areas to oversee and manage risk activities.
