Job Description

Beauparc is an environmental services company operating across Ireland, UK, and Netherlands, collecting, managing, and processing waste materials for re-use, recycling, and recovery. We are one of the fastest growing organisations in the waste industry managing notable brands such as Panda, Mid-UK recycling, Tyrone Energy and B&M waste. Beauparc has multiple facilities to maximise the resource value of materials, from plastics recycling, landfill gas extraction to energy, biomass energy, composting and anaerobic digestion facilities, material recovery facilities, an expansive network of transfer and civic amenity facilities. Sustainability Journey Recovery of resources from waste is an essential element of a sustainable society. Resource recovery has been central to how we operate since our foundation in 1992, long before the term circular economy was widely used. While we are already a leader in resource recovery, we are looking to build on our successful platform and further accelerate our progress in diverting resources away from disposal. We are ambitious and aim to enhance our performance in the circular economy by strengthening our team and focusing on quality control protocols, identification of additional materials for recycling and aligning production of new waste derived products with construction material quality standards. The Role As an environmental services company the conversion of waste into resources for the circular economy is critical to Beauparcs success. As Beauparc progresses with its sustainability aims, there is a need to add an enthusiastic engineer to our team. The successful applicant will develop a system for identification of materials that can be successfully converted into new products. The successful candidate will interact with customers, operations, the commercial sales and ESG teams in the development of specifications and quality standards for end products derived from waste. A key area will be to construct end of waste applications and production protocols, building on applications previously successfully submitted by Beauparc. Development of relationships with key stakeholders in the area of the circular economy including EPA, NSAI, Cement Manufacturers of Ireland, Construction Industry Federation etc. Identification of outlets for waste derived materials. Development of End of Waste protocols for a range of materials. Development of quality standards/specifications for a range of materials including paper, plastics and construction and demolition materials. Creation of sampling protocols for waste derived products. Working closely with the operations and ESG teams. Attending NSAI expert committees on aggregates and the circular economy. Presentation of ESG/sustainability information to stakeholders. Collection and presentation of reporting data. Assistance with ISO and ESG procedure and policy formation. The Candidate The ideal candidate will have a qualification in one of the following: - Geology, Civil Engineering, Materials Science, Circular economy or similar. The candidate must have a good knowledge of building materials standards, and an understanding of quality control and operations. Excellent written and verbal communications skills An enthusiasm for sustainability and resource recovery Track record of conducting phys/chem testing Good report writing skills and presentation skills. The role will be based in our Dublin Head Office in Millennium Park, Ballycoolin however consideration may be given to relocation to our offices in Rathdrinagh Co. Meath; Knockharley landfill, Co Meath; or Fassaroe Co Wicklow.
