Civil Design Engineer - Major Transport Infrastructure Project €90,000 Location: Dublin, Ireland Job Type: Long-term Contract Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Civil Design Engineer to work on one of Ireland's largest transport infrastructure projects in Dublin. This long-term contract role involves designing and coordinating civil engineering aspects, ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with a wider multidisciplinary design team in the delivery of key aspects of this transformative project. Key Responsibilities: Develop and interpret detailed civil engineering design packages, ensuring compliance with relevant standards. Work as part of a wider design team, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive design delivery. Liaise with contractors, consultants, and public authorities to address technical requirements and permits. Provide on-site technical support and resolve design-related issues during construction. Conduct site inspections to ensure construction aligns with design. Review drawings and technical documents to maintain quality assurance. Assist with design schedules, cost estimates, and budgets. Participate in risk assessments, value engineering, and design optimizations. Required Qualifications: Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. 5 years' experience in civil design, ideally in large infrastructure or transport projects. Knowledge of Irish and European standards, including TII guidelines. Skills & Competencies: Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, etc.). Strong understanding of transport infrastructure design Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
