The Client and overview of the Role: My Client are a c.€50M Turnover Civil Engineering Contractor that take on contracts for Site Development, Utilities, Roads, Rails, Groundworks and Landscaping works. They work for some of Ireland's leading Contractors and Residential Developers and have an office in Dublin. You'd be working closely with the Irish Commercial Manager and other members of the Commercial Function and you will be responsible for pricing a range of projects for residential, commercial, cultural, industrial and educational works across Ireland. This Company are trading nearly 20 years and they have a really sound, approachable Senior Management team. They currently operate a specialist subcontractor but have plans to develop into an established Main Contractor in the not-too-distant future. Now isn't a bad time to join this Company as they've some exciting plans. Below is a rough idea of what the main responsibilities will include: Produce commercially sound and technically workable estimates to assist the company in winning projects Liaising with quantity surveying team, procurement, subcontractors and other stakeholders as necessary Preparing successful Tender Bids and handover to the Project Team Requirements: Relevant technical background or third level qualification in construction related discipline A minimum of 3 years proven experience in Construction Estimating, Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering In depth knowledge of building regulations and standards Ability to understand design documents, drawings and 3-D models Being able to get along with people, enjoy working as part of a team and take pride in what you do Ability to effectively manage estimating process and associated schedules to required deadlines What's on offer?
