Job Description

Full-time Housekeeping staff required for a private nursing home in Riverstick, Co. Cork, with a competitive start rate and opportunities for career progression.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Undertake general cleaning of all areas of the building, including offices, floors, corridors, stairwells, toilets, and residents' apartments.
  • Vacuuming, dusting, and washing floors and walls.
  • Sweeping, floor polishing, and waste disposal.
  • Wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
  • Dust furniture and vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
  • Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Ensure toilet facilities are kept clean, and supplies are replenished when required.
  • Clean and disinfect public areas such as changing rooms, showers, and elevators.
  • Disinfect operating rooms and other building areas.
  • General housekeeping and cleaning around the building and litter control.
  • Washing, drying, and ironing items as necessary.
  • Inform the Supervisor/Manager of stock required for replenishing purposes.
  • Undertake other routine tasks such as hosing down the forecourt and dealing with recycling.
  • Undertake any other duties as requested.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Good working knowledge of English.
  • Knowledge and willingness to apply safe working practices.
  • Knowledge of how to use the equipment necessary to carry out the assigned tasks.
  • Garda vetting required.
